| − | | + | The science class is a national program established by the Ministry of Education, supported by the "高級中等學校科學班辦理要點" regulation. The number of students enrolled nationally is fixed each year. However, the number of high schools in Taiwan that run the science class may change each year, hence the quota of new students in each school every year is not constant. The board that decides how many new students will be appointed to each school appoints a team to visit the school each year. The decision is then determined based on the "performance" of each school in the previous year, which could be correlated with the response of the 3 students picked from each class for a small talk, what the students of the graduating science class major in or the number of students participating in Olympiads. |
